Meeting: Dubois County Council

The Dubois County Council met Monday and:

• Elected Mike Kluesner as council president and Craig Greulich as vice president.

• Welcomed Alex Hohl to the council. Hohl replaces Jerry Hunefeld, and will finish the last two years of Hunefeld’s term.

• Passed an ordinance to rescind changing how county innkeeper taxes are collected. The collection will continue being done locally instead of by the state.

• Approved the annual dispersement of court fees collected for substance abuse prevention to be given to the Dubois County Substance Abuse Council. The 2021 dispersement totals $34,660.
