Meeting: Dubois County Council
December 27, 2018The Dubois County Council met Wednesday and:
• Heard an update on the activities of the Patoka Lake Regional Water and Sewer District. Pat Seger, the council’s representative on Patoka’s board, mentioned the water rate increase that was recently enacted, the construction of a new operations facility and sewer plant renovations. The council also accepted from Seger a $200,000 payment on an $800,000 loan Patoka has with the county.
• Approved various appointments that will go into effect next year. A complete list of the council’s and Dubois County Commissioners’ appointments will run in Monday’s Herald.
• Set the 2019 salary for its new attorney, Greg Schnarr, at $7,559. The county commissioners will pay Schnarr $50,868 for the year.
• Heard that board reorganization will be done at the council’s January meeting, which will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28 in the commissioners/council room on the second floor of the Dubois County Courthouse Annex, 602 Main St., Jasper.
