Meeting: Dubois County CommissionersOctober 19, 2020
The Dubois County Commissioners met Monday and:
• Decided to start the paperwork to use the rest of the CARES funding it has received to cover the salaries of emergency workers. By doing that, the money will go into the county’s general fund. Any other COVID-19-related expenditures would be covered using county funds, after being recommended by the commissioners and approved by the Dubois County Council.
• Reviewed different digital service contracts, renewing its contract with PSCI for internet service and tabling the contract with Matrix Integration, which provides technical services for the county.
• Learned that Rita Bicker plans to retire as a floater attendant for the sanitation and recycling sites. Bicker has been an attendant since 2011 and at one time was the full-time attendant at the Haysville site.
• Heard that annual material bids will be opened at the commissioners Nov. 16 meeting and considered for awards at its Dec. 7 meeting.
