Meeting: Dubois County Commissioners

The Dubois County Commissioners met Monday and:

• Decided to bring county staff back into the county buildings and discussed what should be done to start reopening the county’s economic climate.

• Approved adding tempered glass shields at the counters at the clerk’s office and recorder’s office. The commissioners told County Custodian Scott Hopf to look into some kind of protective barriers for other offices, like the treasurer’s and auditor’s offices.

• Approved a $70,342.47 invoice from American Structurepoint Inc. for bridge inspection work.

• Heard that the county received a $1 million Community Crossings grant. Bids for the projects that will use the funding will be opened at the commissioners’ June 1 meeting.
