Meeting: Dubois County Airport Authority
February 9, 2021The Dubois County Airport Authority met Monday and:
• Established a committee to consider mitigation for tenants when the runway closes this summer for three months.
• Decided to use its CARES funding to help with payroll costs for airport employees.
• Agreed to get bids for an old barn owned by the airport. An interested buyer contacted Airport Manager Travis McQueen about the barn, but authority attorney Phil Schneider said that bids should be taken for the structure.
• Heard that President Jim Hunsicker will work on updating the employee handbook, which has not been done in 26 years. He will make sure that the updates coincide with the county employee policies and plans to give a draft to authority members for review, he said.
