Mary Lou Fritz, 91, Ferdinand
January 5, 2021Mary Lou (Bartley) Fritz, 91, of Ferdinand passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand. Mary Lou was born November 5, 1929 in Ferdinand to Raymond and Henrietta (Wilmes) Bartley. She was united in marriage to Otto Fritz on September 11, 1947 in Saint Ferdinand Church. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1998.

Mary Lou retired from the Personal Department at Farbest Foods. She was a lifelong member of St. Ferdinand Parish. She enjoyed visiting and playing with her grand-daughters, Heather and Taffi. She also loved traveling, especially to Florida. Before entering Scenic Hills she traveled with her family to Williamsburg, Saint Louis, Gatlinburg, and Chicago.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne (Gary) Schurz and a son Gary Fritz both of Ferdinand. Two grand-daughters, Heather (Matt) Kissling, Chicago and Taffi (Eric) Jaso, Valparaiso. One great-grandchild, Keating Schurz and a step great-grandchild, Lyra Jaso.
Funeral services will be private at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand with burial to follow in Saint Ferdinand Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
