Marvin Paul Montgomery, 76, Jasper
June 2, 2020Marvin Paul Montgomery, 76, died Saturday, May 30, 2020, at his home in Jasper.

Marvin was born to Wayne and Beulah (Abel) Montgomery on March 16, 1944, in Martin County.
He was a graduate of Shoals High School.
Marvin worked for The Old Paths Tract Society, US Gypsum, was a photographer for years, and since 1996, has owned Marvin’s Computer Shop in Haysville.
He was a very talented musician and singer.
He was a member of Victory Assembly of God in Jasper where he served as deacon and on the Worship Team for many years.
Marvin married Joyce Marie Bobbitt in Shoals on July 20, 1963, and she preceded Marvin in death on October 25, 2015. He is also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melody Mosier; sister, Wilma Albright; and brothers, Kenneth, Danny, and Donnie Montgomery.
Surviving Marvin is one daughter, Melba Covel and her husband, John, of Loogootee; one son, Ansel Montgomery and his wife, Becca ,of Jasper; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and Stanley Montgomery, both of Shoals; one sister, Eileen and her husband, Wayne, Sanders of Salem, Ohio; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Marvin Montgomery will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at McAdams Mortuary. Pastor Joel Rivera will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hardinsburg.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in Marvin’s honor to any local church, as he loved helping out the churches and pastors of the community.
