Martha A. Rickelman, 83, of Ferdinand, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.
Martha was born March 3, 1936 in Ferdinand to Prosper and Laura (Ruhe) Johanneman. She was united in marriage to Flavian “Flip” Rickelman on June 14, 1958, in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church. Flavian preceded her in death on May 17, 2009.
Martha was a member of Christ the King Parish-St. Ferdinand Church.
She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and going on bus trips. She was always happy spending time visiting family and friends, and especially being around her grandchildren.
Surviving are one daughter, Laura (Keith) Tretter, of Ferdinand; two sons, Tony (Amy) Rickelman and Frank (Sandy) Rickelman, both of Ferdinand; six grandchildren, Lexie, Katie and Kamie Tretter, Max and Jake Rickelman and Ben Rickelman, two stepgrandchildren, Brooke and Brandon Berg; and one great-granddaughter, Ella.
A mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 21, in Saint Ferdinand Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.
