Marilyn Catherine Haefling, 76, Evanston
December 25, 2020Marilyn Catherine Haefling, 76, of Evanston, passed away on Thursday, December 24th at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.

Marilyn was born January 23, 1944 in Princeton to Othmar and Perline (Ernst) Schaefer. She married Ed Haefling on October 1, 1966 in St. Meinrad Church. Marilyn enjoyed piecing quilts. She was a member of St. Boniface Parish and its Ladies Sodality.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Ed Haefling; one daughter, Angie (Josh) Haake of Mariah Hill; three sons, Brad Haefling of Evanston, Paul (Ellen) Haefling of Santa Claus and Ben (Leslie) Haefling of Santa Claus; four sisters, Pat (Mike) Hochegsang of Ireland, Brenda (Curt Trainer) Stallings and Shirley Taylor all of Jasper, Donna (Kim) Kline of St. Croix; seven grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth, Larry, Othmar and David Schaefer in Infancy and sisters Debbie and Christine Schaefer.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 29th at 10:00 AM CT in St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 9:00 AM CT until time of services.
