Marietta Ruth Hildenbrand, 77, Evansville

Marietta Ruth Hildenbrand, 77, of Evansville, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at her home. She was born December 5, 1940, in Washington to the late Margaret (Doyle) and Theodore Jerger.

Marietta retired from American General in 2003 after 44 years. She was a 1959 graduate of Washington Catholic High School. Marietta was a member of St. James Catholic Church for over 50 years, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Choir and quilting group. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Hildenbrand of 53 years; daughters, Annalee (Kent) Tepool and Annette  (Christopher) Wheeler; grandchildren, Haley Tepool, Megan Tepool, Nathaniel Wheeler, Gabrielle Wheeler; sisters, Ann Nussel, Jan (Steve) Fuld, Rita (Tom) Palmer and Helen (Kenneth) Alvey; brothers, Gerald (Norma) Jerger and Earl (Margie) Jerger; and many nieces and nephews.

Marietta was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald Jerger.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 North First Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at St. James Catholic Church, 12300 S. 50 W Haubstadt, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the church with Father Kenneth Betz officiating.

Burial will be at St. James Cemetery in Haubstadt.
