Man’s failure to signal ends in arrest

HUNTINGBURG — Police accused a Huntingburg man of impaired driving after a Friday evening traffic stop.

The Huntingburg Police Department stopped a 2003 Chevrolet driven by Allen K. Williams, 53, 612 E. First St., at 7:56 p.m. at Fourth Avenue and Main Street because Williams allegedly failed to signal a turn.

Police said Williams’ blood alcohol content tested .21 percent in a blood draw at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.

Authorities booked Williams into the Dubois County Security Center at 8:36 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
