HUNTINGBURG — Authorities ultimately arrested a man reported as being unconscious at one point and extremely confused Thursday morning at OFS Brands Plant No. 1, 4611 S. 400W.
The Huntingburg Police Department sent officers at 7:34 a.m. after it was reported the medical issues exhibited by Joshua R. Johnson, 37, 2200 Mill St., Jasper, may be drug related.
While Johnson was being tended to by Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services, police alleged finding Johnson in possession of a brown granular substance that field tested positive as being heroin.
Authorities booked Johnson into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:30 p.m. on a preliminary Level 6 felony count of illegal possession of a narcotic drug.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office and Jasper Police Department assisted.
