Mann receives sorority scholarship

The Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary sorority for women educators, has awarded a $400 scholarship to Kaitlyn Mann who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Spanish education and a license addition in English as a New Language from Indiana University. Mann, daughter of Jeff and Lisa Mann, will complete her student teaching in spring 2021.
Ms. Mann attended Ireland Elementary School, Jasper Middle School and Jasper High School. She is a member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, a three-year recipient of the IU Founders Scholar award and has been on the dean’s list since 2017.
She is the current president of Lutheran Campus Ministry at Indiana University, has completed a study abroad program in Spain, participated in Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) LLC and has been a substitute teacher for Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools. Her volunteer activities include helping at the Dubois County Community Meals Program and assisting as a preschool teacher for vacation Bible school for Dubois County Lutheran Churches.
