Man shooting guns arrestedMarch 8, 2021

HUNTINGBURG — A man was arrested Sunday evening after shooting off guns near residences.
Jacob A. Weisman, 22, 4 E. State Road 64, Huntingburg was charged with two counts of criminal recklessness with a firearm, both Level 5 felonies.
Dubois County Sheriff's Office deputies were called at 6:18 p.m. by a resident who was concerned about gunshots being fired and hitting the resident’s home. Officers went to the home to gather information from the resident.
While talking to the resident, officers heard more shots and could hear the whizzing sound of bullets passing them, police said.
The deputies went to the direction of the gunfire and arrived at Weisman’s residence.
After talking to Weisman about the situation, officers arrested Weisman. He is lodged at the Dubois County Security Center.
