Man jailed on Knox County warrant

JASPER — Police took a Jasper man into custody Monday morning on an active out-of-county warrant.

Jacob L. Volz, 43, 1622 Newton St., Jasper, was wanted on a Knox County warrant for failure to appear in a felony domestic battery case.

Officers with the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office and Jasper Police Department took Volz into custody at a work site in Jasper after receiving information about his whereabouts.

Authorities booked Volz into the Dubois County Security Center at 8:58 a.m. on the active warrant.
