Man jailed on felony intimidation charge

JASPER — A Jasper man was jailed during the weekend on a warrant charging him with felony intimidation.

Demetrius Arnold, 45, 475 Rumbach Ave., Jasper, is accused of communicating a threat to commit a forcible felony against a woman May 26 in Jasper, according to charging documents. The Jasper Police Department investigated the domestic dispute and a warrant charging Arnold with a Level 6 felony count of intimidation was issued May 31 in Dubois Circuit Court.

Authorities booked Arnold into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:19 p.m. Saturday on the active warrant. During an initial appearance Monday, a preliminary plea of not guilty was entered on Arnold’s behalf by the court and his next appearance was set for June 17.
