JASPER — The Jasper Police Department brought a man to jail Wednesday on a warrant charging him with failing to return to lawful detention.

Sean M. Lemond, 22, 318 W. 13th St., Jasper, was on home detention with electronic monitoring through the Dubois County Community Corrections Center. Court documents allege Lemond had in excess of 48 hours of unapproved leave from his residence since Sept. 19, which constitutes a major violation of community corrections home detention rules.

A warrant charging Lemond with Level 6 felony counts of escape and failure to return to lawful detention was issued out of Dubois Circuit Court Tuesday.

Authorities booked Lemond into the security center at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday on the active warrant.
