Man jailed on failure-to-return warrant

From Local Sources

JASPER — Authorities booked a Marion County man into the Dubois County Security Center on Thursday on a failure-to-appear warrant related to a marijuana and suspended-driving case.

Jerry W. Brooks III, 27, Indianapolis, was charged with misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession and driving while suspended (prior) after a Dec. 18 traffic stop by the Jasper Police Department.

Police cited Brooks into court on the charges but, after he failed to appear for initial hearing dates Feb. 13 and again Monday, a warrant for his arrest was issued this week.

Brooks was booked into the security center at 5:52 p.m. Thursday on the active warrant.
