HUNTINGBURG — A suspect had driven from the scene when the Huntingburg Police Department responded at 12:18 a.m. Saturday to a woman’s report of having been battered.
Police state the female victim had visible injuries but refused to be transported from the scene by ambulance.
The suspect, Bobby J. Goodwin, 46, Winslow, was thought to possibly be headed to his Winslow residence.
Police alerted Pike County authorities who located Goodwin at his residence and took him into custody.
Huntingburg police also reported Goodwin’s blood alcohol content tested .129 percent on a certified test at their police station.
Authorities booked Goodwin into the Dubois County Security Center on a preliminary Level 6 felony count of domestic battery and a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
Indiana State Police and the Pike County Sheriff’s Department assisted.
