Man jailed during investigation

JASPER — A Jasper man was taken to jail Wednesday evening after police allegedly found him in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

During the course of an investigation, Jasper Police Department officers made contact with Raymond N. Neukam, 66, 1021 N. 310E, Jasper, and, while speaking with him at his residence, observed drug paraphernalia. Police allege Neukam was in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia that included a scale, a grinder and multiple smoking pipes with burnt residue.

Neukam was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Warrick County for misdemeanor theft and criminal trespass.

Authorities booked Neukam into the Dubois County Security Center at 9:31 p.m. on the active warrant and on new preliminary misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
