JASPER — Authorities took a Jasper man into custody Friday on a Dubois Circuit Court warrant charging him with felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and criminal confinement.
The case investigated by the Jasper Police Department involves an incident alleged to have occurred in Jasper in May 2016 and led to a forensic interview being conducted in May of this year, according to court documents.
Robert J. McKee, 26, 1117 Mill St., is alleged to have had illegal sexual contact with a female victim at least 14 years of age but less than 16 years of age. McKee is alleged to have confined the victim, who told authorities she repeatedly told McKee to stop the sexual contact.
A warrant for McKee’s arrest was issued Friday. In it, he is charged with a Level 4 felony count of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 5 felony count of sexual misconduct with a minor and a Level 6 felony count of criminal confinement.
Authorities served the active warrant on McKee at the Dubois Community Corrections Center. He was booked into the Dubois County Security Center next door at 6:07 p.m. Friday.
