Man charged with domestic battery, disorderly conduct

MARIAH HILL — Authorities charged a man with domestic battery and disorderly conduct after an incident last week in Mariah Hill.
Court documents indicate Indiana State Police responded Tuesday night, May 26, to the report of a domestic disturbance that had turned physical. The responding trooper said a female had visible injury but declined emergency medical services.
After investigating, police arrested Keith A. Smith, 49, 7012 E. Spencer County Road 1930N, Mariah Hill, who was also at the scene.
Smith was charged in Spencer Circuit Court with misdemeanor domestic battery and disorderly conduct. During an initial hearing conducted by video conferencing, Smith’s next court date was set for July 30.
