Man charged with burglary, theft

JASPER — Authorities booked a Huntingburg man into the Dubois County Security Center last week on a warrant charging him with felony burglary and theft.
Arrest documents allege that, on March 26, Gabriel J. Recinos, 19, 75 E. State Road 64, Huntingburg, broke into a residence and took items that included two large televisions and a handgun. The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office investigated and recovered those items.
A warrant charging Recinos with Level 4 felony residential burglary and Level 6 felony theft was issued out of Dubois Circuit Court on April 17.
Authorities booked Recinos into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:15 a.m. Thursday on the active warrant. During an initial hearing Friday, the court released Recinos to pretrial home detention with electronic monitoring and set his next court hearing for May 28.
