PATOKA LAKE — A Huntingburg man was formally charged with misdemeanor boating while intoxicated last week in Orange Superior Court.
Court documents state a Department of Natural Resources conservation officer at Patoka Lake made contact with Christopher M. Knies, 35, 2238 N. Anya Court, Huntingburg, on July 5 after a 2003 Sea Ray boat he was operating violated a no-wake zone as it came through a causeway.
A conservation officer said Knies’ blood alcohol content later tested .08% and he was transported to the Orange County Jail.
