Man charged with battery, strangulation

HUNTINGBURG — City police arrested a Huntingburg man Wednesday for battery to a juvenile.
Robert L. Greene, 48, 203 E. First St., was charged with domestic battery and strangulation, both Level 6 felonies.
Huntingburg Police were contacted Wednesday afternoon by the Department of Child Services about the alleged abuse of a juvenile. Officers and DCS contacted and talked to the juvenile, and learned that Greene had choked the victim Tuesday night, police said. The victim also said that the abuse had happened before, police reported.
Officers went to Greene’s residence and talked to him before arresting him. Greene was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
