JASPER — Odorico Gervacio-Mendoza, 35, 506 Village Court, was arrested at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday by the Jasper Police Department on a Class D felony count of possession of stolen property and a misdemeanor count of domestic battery.
Gervacio-Mendoza was arrested after officers were called to a city apartment regarding a domestic disturbance. Police determined Gervacio-Mendoza committed battery on a female victim there, although her injuries did not require immediate medical attention.
While in the residence conducting the investigation, police said they located in plain view identification documents that had been in a purse that was reported stolen at Walmart Supercenter on Aug. 26.
Authorities booked Gervacio-Mendoza into the Dubois County Security Center.
