JASPER — City police arrested a man who refused to leave Jaycee Park Monday night after trespassing.
Jesaiah D. Lasher, 25, Mesa, Arizona, was charged with intimidation criminal mischief, possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and criminal trespass.
At 8 p.m. officers were called about a suspicious male in the park, located on Bartley Street between 13th and 15th streets.
Officers arrived and identified the man as Lasher. They noted that he was the same who trespassed at the park earlier, Jasper police reported.
Officers told Lasher that he must leave after trespassing earlier. He refused, and was then taken into custody, police said. While in custody, Lasher damaged a police car and threatened officers, police said.
Lasher was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
