Man arrested on cocaine, marijuana charges

HUNTINGBURG — A Jasper man was arrested Saturday night after police found 5 pounds of marijuana and at least 17 grams of cocaine in the trunk of his vehicle.
T Hai B. Duong, 28, was charged with dealing in cocaine, a Level 2 felony, possession of cocaine or narcotic drug, a Level 4 felony
dealing in marijuana and possession of marijuana, both Level 6 felonies, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
A Huntingburg Police officer stopped Duong’s car on First Avenue for a routine traffic stop at 8:52 p.m. The police officer called in the department’s K-9 officer to check around the car. The dog had a positive alert on the vehicle, police said. Officers searched the vehicle and located a trash bag in the trunk. Officers found about 5 pounds of a substance later tested as marijuana, as well as 17.21 grams of cocaine substance.
Duong was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
