Man arrested on alcohol-related charge

HUNTINGBURG — A report early Sunday of a man trying to get in a Chestnut Street residence resulted in an arrest.
The Huntingburg Police Department was called to the 300 block of North Chestnut Street at 5:32 a.m. when the resident reported the man he did not know was at his home.
Officers arrived and determined the man was Pedro A. Rivera Jr., 19, 326 E. 14th St., Jasper.
Police who detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Rivera’s person said his blood alcohol content tested .147% on a portable breath test.
Authorities booked Rivera into the Dubois County Security Center at 6:53 a.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of minor consuming.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
