Man arrested on 3-count warrant

HUNTINGBURG — The Huntingburg Police Department took a man into custody Wednesday on a warrant charging him with obstruction of justice, possession of methamphetamine and theft.

Court documents allege Caleb A. Dubon Jr., 23, 624 W. Ninth St., Ferdinand, was in possession of methamphetamine July 5 in an incident involving theft and creating an impediment to an official proceeding or investigation.

A warrant for Dubon’s arrest was issued July 18 out of Dubois Superior Court. Authorities booked Dubon into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:02 p.m. Wednesday on the active warrant charging him with Level 6 felony counts of obstruction of justice and possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor count of theft.

Dubon, who posted a $750 bond the day of his arrest, is scheduled to be in court for an initial hearing Wednesday.
