Man arrested for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle

JASPER — A Huntingburg man was arrested for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle after the Jasper Police Department tried to conduct a traffic stop on him.

On Friday, JPD attempted to stop Alan Bleemel, 28, on 12th and Jackson streets but fled until police were able to stop him at 13th and Dewey streets. Bleemel was found to be driving on a suspended license and operating the vehicle with a false and fictitious plate.

Bleemel was charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, a Level 6 felony, driving with a suspended license, false and fictitious plate and failure to use a turn signal. He was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
