From Local Sources
JASPER — A Wednesday night report of a domestic dispute involving physical contact resulted in an arrest.
Officers with the Jasper Police Department responding to the 10:26 p.m. dispatch made contact with a female who had visible injury and learned a child was present.
Police allege the suspect, Joshua L. Gallion, 33, Jackson, West Virginia, grabbed the victim’s phone and threw it into a sink full of water to try to keep her from contacting authorities.
Gallion was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:35 a.m. Thursday on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony domestic battery and misdemeanor interference with the reporting of a crime. Gallion posted bond early today.
