From Local Sources
JASPER — Police arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a relative’s home Sunday evening.
Police called at 7:30 p.m. to the 2500 block of Birk Drive were told Jeremy R. Siddons Jr., 33, 2575 E. Burke Drive, had previously been evicted from the location. Police were called after a homeowner discovered Siddons had allegedly broken windows in a garage and the basement to gain entry to the home.
Siddons was found sleeping at the residence and, police alleged, syringes were found in plain view on a nearby dresser. Police also alleged Siddons was found to have illegally possessed prescription drugs.
When talking with Siddons, police alleged, he admitted to breaking the windows to gain entry.
Authorities booked Siddons into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:18 p.m. on preliminary charges that included Level 6 felony counts of residential entry, unlawful possession of a syringe and illegal possession of a legend (prescription) drug.
