JASPER — The Jasper Police Department took a man into custody after responding to a fight call Thursday evening.
The Jasper Police Department was called to the 3700 block of Portersville Road at 7:56 p.m.
While en route, officers made contact with William A. Schwartz, 30, 3770 N. Portersville Road, who was walking away from the scene.
Police allege an altercation Schwartz had with another male became physical, with the victim suffering injury.
Authorities booked Schwartz into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:33 p.m. on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic battery.
