Man accused of vehicle theft

HUNTINGBURG — Police took a man into custody Sunday after being notified earlier in the day of a reported vehicle theft in the Huntingburg area.
The vehicle, a 1996 Dodge Dakota truck, was located in the area of state roads 64 and 145 by the Birdseye Town Marshal.
Indiana State Police made contact with Mustang R. Beckham, 26, 4241 S. 170E, Huntingburg, in Birdseye during the investigation and took him into custody.
Authorities booked Beckham into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:15 p.m. Sunday on a preliminary Level 6 felony count of vehicle theft.
