JASPER — Police accused a Jasper man of felony impaired driving after a Saturday night traffic stop.

The Jasper Police Department stopped a 2006 Ford Ranger driven by Allen R. Worley, 39, 1218 Jackson St., Jasper, at 9:56 p.m. after Worley allegedly failed to heed the stop sign at Second and Clay streets.

Police alleged a certified breath test at the Jasper Police Station placed Worley’s blood alcohol content at .149%.

Authorities booked Worley into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:53 a.m. Sunday on a preliminary Level 6 felony count of operating while intoxicated. The impaired driving charge was elevated to a felony because of a previous conviction for the offense in March 2016, according to police.
