Man accused of felony contributing to delinquency

JASPER — A Tuesday morning report alleging possible child abuse resulted in a man’s arrest.


The Jasper Police Department began investigating after the 9 a.m. report and learned Brian E. Gentry, 40, 314 W. 14th St., may have provided alcohol to two juvenile females under the age of 16.

Police detained Gentry at his residence and then brought him to the Jasper Police Station for questioning.

During questioning, police alleged, Gentry admitted to furnishing alcoholic drinks to the two juveniles.

Authorities booked Gentry into the Dubois County Security Center on a preliminary Level 6 felony count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
