HUNTINGBURG — Police took a man into custody early Sunday, accusing him of domestic battery and strangulation.
The Huntingburg Police Department was dispatched to the report of a domestic battery at 2:14 a.m.
Police made contact with a female with visible injury as well as Joseph E. Fransted, 49, 414 N. Jackson St., Huntingburg.
After investigating, police placed Fransted into custody.
Authorities booked Fransted into the Dubois County Security Center at 5:58 a.m. on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic battery.
