HUNTINGBURG — Police arrested a man Wednesday, accusing him of felony domestic battery and misuse of the 911 system.

Jesse R. Moore, 39, 7544 S. U.S. 231, Huntingburg, was increasingly verbally belligerent in a series of 911 calls in which he first reported a truck stolen by a female, according to authorities. When the truck was returned, Moore wanted to report damage to it. At one point he allegedly said he would call 911 every minute until there was a response, according to authorities.

Dubois County Sheriff’s Office deputies who responded encountered a female with visible injury and, after investigating, placed Moore into custody.

Authorities booked Moore into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:03 a.m. today on preliminary charges of Level 5 felony domestic battery and misdemeanor knowingly or intentionally placing 911 calls for prohibited purposes.
