Man accused of domestic battery

JASPER — A Jasper man was arrested after police were called to the report of a domestic battery Sunday afternoon.
The Jasper Police Department received the battery report at 4:23 p.m. and found a female with visible injury.
David M. Ares, 56, 1308 Vine St., Jasper, was taken into custody.
Authorities booked Ares into the Dubois County Security Center at 7:53 p.m. on preliminary charges of Level 5 felony intimidation and Level 6 felony domestic battery.
Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services assisted.
