JASPER — Police arrested a man Friday after being called to the emergency room where a female juvenile had significant injuries.
The Jasper Police Department was called at 9:40 a.m. Friday to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. The female juvenile advised her boyfriend had battered her the prior evening around 5 p.m.
An investigation into the battery allegedly determined Dylan J. Achbach, 19, 415 S. Truman Road, Jasper, had battered his juvenile girlfriend.
Police located Achbach at his place of employment and took him into custody on preliminary charges that included a Level 3 felony count of aggravated battery, Level 5 felony counts of domestic battery with a deadly weapon and domestic battery causing serious bodily injury, a Level 6 felony count of strangulation and misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Authorities booked Achbach into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:54 p.m. Friday.
Police said the juvenile female’s injuries included a temporal skull fracture, a broken nose and numerous bruises.
