PATOKA LAKE — Authorities accused a Knox County man of boating while impaired Saturday evening at Patoka Lake.
A Department of Natural Resources conservation officer made contact with Jason W. Kocher, 43, Vincennes, at 7 p.m. after being called to the report of an accident at the Lick Fork Boat Ramp.
The accident occurred while Kocher was attempting to put the boat on a trailer and his wife suffered injury.
Authorities alleged Kocher showed signs of impairment and had a blood alcohol content that later tested .111% in testing done at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
Kocher was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 10 p.m. Saturday on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating a motorboat while intoxicated. He was released from the jail early Sunday.
