PATOKA LAKE — Authorities accused a Pike County man of boating while impaired Friday night at Patoka Lake.
A Department of Natural Resources conservation officer made contact with Mason C. Boone, 26, 7606 W. Pike County Road 580N, Otwell, at 8:30 p.m. when he noted a boat registration was not being displayed on the 2003 Sea Ray motorboat Boone was operating in the lake by the Lick Fork Boat Ramp.
Authorities alleged Boone showed signs of impairment and had a blood alcohol content that later tested .094% in a certified test at the Jasper Police Station.
Boone was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 9:56 p.m. Friday on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating a motorboat while intoxicated. He was released from the jail early Saturday.
