JASPER — A Louisville, Kentucky, man was jailed this week on a local warrant charging him with possession of a narcotic drug and possession of paraphernalia.

The Jasper Police Department investigated the case against 44-year-old Richard M. Logan in May 2017 after police received a complaint of possible drug activity at the then Jasper Inn, 951 Wernsing Road, Jasper.

Police allege Logan was found to be in possession of heroin and paraphernalia on May 5, 2017. He was cited into court and, when he failed to appear, a warrant for his arrest was issued out of Dubois Superior Court in June 2017.

Authorities booked Logan into the Dubois County Security Center Tuesday on the active warrant charging him with Level 6 felony possession of a narcotic drug and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
