Lorena Ida Blessinger, 94, Hoffman Estates, Ill.
November 12, 2020Lorena Ida Blessinger, age 94 of Hoffman Estates, IL – a suburb of Chicago, formerly of Ireland, IN, passed away on October 30, 2020 at her home.
Lorena was born in Ireland, Indiana on July 27, 1926 to Martin and Anna (Hopf) Blessinger.
She was a graduate of the Jasper High School class of 1944. She worked for the GE Transistor plants in Huntingburg and Tell City for 15 years, for Lake Central Airlines in Chicago for 3 years, then was a reservationist for Delta Airlines for 33 years. After retirement she worked part time at Kohl’s Department Store in Chicago.
She enjoyed traveling and reading.
Surviving is one sister; Rosemarye Blessinger of Plano TX, currently residing in Streamwood, IL, and five cousins.
Preceding her in death was a sister; Margie A. Blessinger, and a brother and sister; Michael Blessinger and Martina A. Blessinger, who both died at childbirth.
Graveside burial services for Lorena Ida Blessinger will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Ireland, IN.
