JASPER — Loose gravel on a roadway factored into a Saturday mishap along a county road east of Jasper.
Zachary W. King, 27, English, was eastbound on Schnellville Road in a 2013 Chevrolet when the 12:10 p.m. accident occurred east of County Road 400E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
King encountered loose gravel on the roadway, causing him to lose control of the car. The vehicle went off the south side of the roadway and struck a ditch embankment.
Damage was estimated to have exceeded $5,000.
A Berg’s Garage wrecker towed the car because of disabling damage.
