With Halloween quickly approaching here is a list of Halloween events and local trick-or-treat times:

Holland

5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, Trick-or-Treating

• 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, Annual Holland Halloween Party will be at the Holland Elementary gymnasium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and costume judging begins at 6 p.m. There will also be a pumpkin decorating contest, door prizes and games, and a contest to guess the weight of a jumbo pumpkin.


Huntingburg

5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, Trick-or-treating


Jasper

• 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, Trick-or-treating

6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, Trick-or-treating at the Jasper Fire Station, 309 E. Sixth St.


Ferdinand

6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, Trick-or-treating



Birdseye

6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, Trick-or-treating



Dubois

6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 Halloween Parade hosted by the Community Club of Dubois. Meet at the Northeast Dubois Middle School Parking lot. Parade will finish at the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department with a costume contest immediately following.


VUJC events

• 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 “Hocus Pocus” screening at the theater located in the Center for Technology, Innovation and Manufacturing at Vincennes University Jasper Campus. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 6 p.m. Free popcorn and beverages will be provided.

5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, Halloween Spooktacular, Trick-or-treating will take place in five campus buildings. The event will feature snacks, treats, games and a photo booth. The first stop is in The Bistro in the Ruxer Student Center where hot dogs, drinks and cookies will be served. The other stops include the bookstore in the administration building, admissions office and library in the Habig Building, the Jasper Campus Classroom Building and the CTIM. Parking is available in the Ruxer lot.
