Local teams set to play in Bluegrass World SeriesFebruary 27, 2018

The Jasper Reds and Dubois County Bombers baseball teams will be participating in the brand new Bluegrass World Series which will take place at Louisville Slugger Field in Louisville from July 30 through August 4.
The main team at the event, the Louisville Stars, has a roster comprised of players that have a combined 68 MLB All-Star appearances, 20 World Series Championships as well as two members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Players and managers include Johnny Bench, Chipper Jones, David Ross, Josh Beckett, Roy Oswalt, Johnny Damon, Jonathan Papelbon and more.
The Reds will play the Stars on July 30 at 7 p.m. and will also face FCSL at 3:30 p.. on Aug. 1 while the Bombers will play three games — vs. Westchase on July 31 at 7 p.m., vs. Sterling on Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. and vs. Hoptown on Aug. 3 at 3:30 p.m.
