JASPER — Live music is returning to the Jasper Arts Center. The performance, presented by Jasper Community Arts, will be held at the Jasper Arts Center on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.
Billy McGuigan and his rock orchestra present a high-energy concoction of rock ‘n’ roll mega hits in a unique, live concert experience. Billy and the Pop Rock Orchestra take you on a journey through the '50s rock and roll, the psychedelic '60s and the sweet sounds of the '70s. From American Rock to British Invasion hits, Billy McGuigan’s Pop Rock Orchestra attack the music with thunderous energy. The set list is as varied and versatile as Billy himself and each song is handpicked to compliment Billy’s heartwarming stories, humor, trivia and nostalgia.
“We feel as though, at this moment and with how the situation is trending, we are in a position to bring live music back to the Jasper Arts Center,” said Kyle Rupert, JCA’s director. “While things might look and feel a little different for our patrons, our staff has spent the last eleven months researching and planning for this very moment, to once again offer live, in-person performances.”
Billy McGuigan has received national attention and won countless awards for his work, including the Spotlight Award for Best Actor in a Musical, an Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award. He was the recipient of the Midland Business Journals 40 under 40 award, and was awarded the Alumni Award for Excellence in Public Service by the Faculty and Staff at the University of Nebraska.
Jasper Community Arts is committed to providing as safe an environment as possible for performances. Seating capacity has been limited to less than 21% of its full capacity and the entire facility is disinfected before and after any use of the facility.
