Father Eugene Schmitt officiated at the marriage of Lisa Kaye Schepers-Kluesner of Celestine and Paul Joseph Schroering of Jasper. A private ceremony was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in St. Celestine Catholic Church, Celestine.
James and Eileen Schepers of Celestine and Dennis and Joan Schroering of Jasper are parents of the couple.
Traci Catt was the vocalist and organist for the ceremony.
The offertory gifts were presented by Parker Beckman, Maura Kluesner and Adelyn Mitchell, godchildren of the bride. Lectors were Kelsey Kluesner, godchild of the bride, and Sam Kluesner, godchildren of the bridegroom. Eucharistic ministers were Carol Kluesner, mother-in-law of the bride, and Diane Verkamp, sister of the bridegroom.
Maid of honor was Katie Kluesner of Celestine, daughter of the bride. Miniature bride was Alison Beckman of Huntingburg, godchild of the bridegroom.
Best man was Leon Schroering of Jasper, brother of the bridegroom. The ring bearer was Korbyn Persohn of Huntingburg, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Leon Schroering of Jasper, brother of the bridegroom, and Scott Schepers of Elsmere, Ky., brother of the bride.
Mr. Schepers gave his daughter in marriage. The bride selected a halter top, trumpet-style gown of ivory satin with a sweetheart neckline, a slim silhouette with beaded lace appliquÃ©s, a ruched bodice and a chapel train.
The maid of honor wore a full-length, A-line, strapless ball gown of cocoa brown satin with a ruched bodice.
The miniature bride, maid of honor and bride carried bouquets of orange calla lilies, roses and wax flowers.
Holly Dilger and Olivia Schroering, godchildren of the bridegroom, registered guests at the reception held at the Celestine Community Club.
The couple is residing at 1210 S. 820E, Celestine, after a honeymoon to the Hawaiian Islands.
The bride graduated from Northeast Dubois High School, Dubois, in 1989. She is employed as the human resources manager for Jasper Lumber Company Inc. Mr. Schroering graduated from Northeast Dubois High School in 1987 and is a self-employed contractor and co-owner of Schroering Brothers Farms.
